While driving through Michigan three summers ago, I happened upon these cows grazing outside Bubba’s New Buffalo Jersey Subs and Bake Shoppe/Moo’s Ice Cream Shoppe in New Buffalo, Michigan…and they were udderly fantastic!

I was driving through Michigan, on a day trip to see a calamari eating contest and a presentation for the world’s biggest hamburger. Along the way, as I always do on road trips, however short they may be, I stopped at random roadside attractions that were on my path.
I pulled up to this convenience store to find the giant cow that stands on its roof. I’m partial to cows on roofs. There is one on a restaurant in the town I grew up in. This one was much, much bigger.
It was a different type of store though, to one I’d ever seen. Cars drove up and an attendant was there to take their order and bring out what they’d like. Milk, cigarettes, whatever. So, I pulled up in line, took photos from my window, and when it was my turn, drove on.
The cow is located at 979 Ecorse Rd, Ypsilanti, Michigan.
