Getting Hyderized at the Glacier Inn
in Hyder, Alaska
What do you do in Hyder, Alaska? Get Hyderized at the Glacier Inn! Take a shot of 150 proof Everclear and keep it down to get a certificate (and avoid buying the bar a round). Did I mention how bad I am at taking shots?
Road Trip to Hyder, Alaska
Silly America hits the road for the Friendliest Ghost Town in Alaska! Hyder is the only town in southern Alaska that is accessible by road and definitely worth the ride! What’s there to do in Hyder? You can stop at the post office to mail some post cards, go bear watching, and, of course, stop at the Glacier Inn to get Hyderized!

I saw the I-57 Abraham Lincoln, the World’s Largest Cross in Effingham, the Super Museum, Superman Statue, and Americana Hollywood Museum in Metropolis. And, of course, a Major League Eating ice cream eating contest! And since we were so close to the border, we just had to cross into Kentucky and back!
